NOTES *please read*:
-Chs do not count as sts throughout this pattern
-When making this pattern I worked under both loops for the first and last stitch of each row (this just makes a straighter edge)
-You can find pattern alterations for how to make this pattern with yarn weights 3 and 5 yarns at the end of this pattern
PATTERN:

-First measure the circumference of your head or the personโs head you are making this for. If you donโt know the size of their head you can refer to the average head size chart at the end of this pattern
-Ch loosely until youโve reached the size needed for the head circumference (keep in mind most yarns will stretch, so you may want to measure the chain length with the yarn stretched)
Row 1: ch 2 and turn, starting in the third ch from your hook hdc in each ch
Row 2: ch 2 and turn, working in the back loops dc in each st
Row 3: ch 2 and turn, working in the back loops hdc in each st
Rows 4-9: repeat rows 2 and 3 (6 rows)
-Fo with a long tail

Weight 3 yarn:
I used a 3.5mm hook and Lion brand ice cream yarn in color parfait
Make the pattern the same way as listed, just repeat rows 2 and 3 one more extra time (making it rows 4-11 instead of 4-9), fo after row 11
Weight 5 yarn:
I used a 6mm hook and Bernat velvet yarn in color burgundy plum
Make the pattern the same way as listed just do not do rows 8 and 9 (making it rows 4-7 instead of 4-9), fo after row 7
