-Preferred hook size (I used 7mm)(available here: https://amzn.to/406Tzyb)

-Stitch marker (available here: https://amzn.to/3TyN9p0)

Abbreviations:
-rnd(s)= round(s)
-ch= chain
-sc= single crochet
-mr= magic ring (or magic circle)
-sl st= slip stitch
-inc= sc 2 in the same st
-dec= sc 2 together
-fo= finish off

PUMPKIN PATTERN:
Stem (with brown):
Rnd 1: sc 4 into a mr (4)
Rnds 2-4: sc 1 in each st around (4)(3 rnds)
-Fo with a long tail
Leaf (with green):
Rnd 1: Ch 4, turn, inc, sc 2, (now working into the other side of the chains) sc 2, inc
-Fo with a long tail
Pumpkin (with orange):
Rnd 1: sc 12 into a mr (12)
Rnd 2: inc, sc 1 and repeat around (18)
Rnd 3: inc, sc 2 and repeat around (24)
Rnd 4: inc, sc 3 and repeat around (30)
Rnds 5-8: sc 1 in each st around (30)(4 rnds)
-Add safety eyes (if you want to make a face)(I placed mine between rnds 5 and 6 with about 3 stitches in between)
Rnd 9: dec, sc 2 and repeat around until 2 sts remain, sc 1 in each of those last 2 sts (23)
-Start stuffing now and continue to stuff as you go (if needed)
Rnd 10: dec, sc 1 and repeat around until 2 sts remain, sc 1 in each of those last 2 sts (16)
Rnd 11: dec around (8)
-Fo with a very long tail and sew closed
Shaping steps: Use that long tail and a yarn needle to make sections around the outside and tighten the yarn to create a pumpkin shape. You can use this tutorial for how to do this: https://youtu.be/M6Jauyx-BHI?si=JMHQF03Ttg5gBZNC
-Make a mouth with black yarn/thread and a yarn needle (if you are making a face)
-Scroll down for the assembly insertions
ORANGE PATTERN:
Make the same pumpkin pattern, just make the alterations listed below
Alterations (to make an orange):
-Make the stem in green instead of brown
-Do not do the shaping steps, just leave it as a sphere shape
-And thatโs all to make an orange instead of a pumpkin!
Assembly (for both pumpkin and orange):
-Sew the stem onto the top
-Sew the leaf onto one side next to the stem
-Make the face with felt and hot glue (if you want a face and didnโt make one already)
-Weave in any ends and youโre finished!!
