FREE Sunflower Crochet Pattern (keychain/ car hanger)

Materials:

-Weight 4 Yarn (I used I love this cotton yarn)(available here: https://amzn.to/4bl3oyu)

-Preferred hook size (I used 3.75mm)(available here: https://amzn.to/3lxwWUv)

-Yarn needle (available here: https://amzn.to/3z08oGC)

-Stitch marker (available here: https://amzn.to/3TyN9p0)

Abbreviations:

-rnd(s)= round(s)

-ch= chain

-sc= single crochet

-mr= magic ring (or magic circle)

-sl st= slip stitch

-dc= double crochet

-tr= treble crochet

-fo= finish off

PATTERN:

Start with center color:

Rnd 1: make a mr and ch 2, dc 12 into the mr, sl st into the first dc to create a circle, fo

Rnd 2: attach petal color into any dc from previous rnd, (sc 1, dc 1, tr 1, dc 1, sc 1, ch 1) repeat from ( to ) into ever dc from rnd 1 (do this 12 times to make 12 petals with one ch in between each), sl st into first st of the rnd, fo

-After weaving in your ends you have completed the flower!!

Some ideas:

-To hang this flower, I used a scrap piece of yarn and tied it to my sunflower and tied to my car mirror (or whatever you choose to hang it from) it’s really just that simple!!

-If you wanted a keychain sunflower you would just add a chain, split ring, and/or jump ring to create a keychain!
