FREE No-Sew Chili Pepper Crochet Pattern

Materials:

-Weight 6 Yarn (I used Bernat Blanket in colors crimson and deep sea)(available here: https://amzn.to/3DZIFRz)

-Preferred hook size (I used 7mm)(available here: https://amzn.to/406Tzyb)

-Yarn needle (available here: https://amzn.to/3z08oGC)

-Stitch marker (available here: https://amzn.to/3TyN9p0)

-Stuffing (available here: https://amzn.to/40wnRKx)

-Safety eyes (I used 12mm)(available here: https://amzn.to/42r01Sc)

-Black yarn/ embroidery thread (available here: https://amzn.to/3RZEvPR)

Abbreviations:

-rnd(s)= round(s)

-ch= chain

-sc= single crochet

-mr= magic ring (or magic circle)

-sl st= slip stitch

-inc= sc 2 in the same st

-dec= sc 2 together

-fo= finish off

PATTERN:

Start with red

Rnd 1: sc 6 into a mr (6)

Rnd 2: sc 1 in each st around (6)

Rnd 3: inc, sc 1 and repeat around (9)

Rnd 4: inc, sc 2 and repeat around (12)

Rnd 5: inc, sc 3 and repeat around (15)

Rnds 6-8: sc 1 in each st around (15)

-Add safety eyes between rnds 6 and 7 with 1-2 stitches apart

-Use a yarn needle and black yarn/thread to make a mouth

Rnd 9: dec, sc 2 and repeat around until 3 sts remain, in those 3 sts dec once and sc once (11)

-Start stuffing now and add stuffing as needed before closing up the bottom

-Change to green

Rnd 10: dec, sc 1 and repeat around until 2 sts remain, sc 1 in each of those sts (8)

Rnd 11: dec, sc 1 and repeat around until 2 sts remain, dec (5)

Rnds 12-13: sc 1 in each st around (5)

-Fo with a long tail, sew closed, and weave in ends
